Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer

Work Location: 4 days onsite, Manhattan NYC

Direct Hire: Salaried position $140k-$170k 

Job Responsibilities: 

In this role, you’ll lead efforts that directly improve the performance and stability of our core products. 

• Improve system reliability by reducing time-to-detect and time-to-resolve for production issues
• Build and maintain automated end-to-end, regression, and performance tests that enable confident, repeatable releases
• Partner closely with QA to strengthen quality ownership across the engineering organization
• Introduce and maintain contract testing to ensure smooth communication between services and internal dependencies
• Define performance benchmarks and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for critical user paths
• Coordinate and refine the release process for core applications, driving continuous improvement as the SDLC evolves

Job Requirements:

• Deep experience developing and maintaining complex applications using TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks (such as React or React Native)
• Hands-on expertise with automation frameworks like Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright
• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts with experience using platforms like GitHub Actions, GitLab, CircleCI, or Jenkins
• Solid grounding in unit, integration, end-to-end, and regression testing methodologies
• Experience with observability tools (e.g., Datadog) including instrumentation, custom metrics, and SLO creation
• A strong history of collaboration with QA and engineering teams, with a passion for building quality into the development process from the start
• Ability to break down complex systems, diagnose bottlenecks, and build scalable solutions
• A data-informed approach to engineering and a habit of using metrics to drive improvements
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring modern, AI-enhanced development workflows and emerging tooling

The salary for this role ranges from $140,000 to $170,000 and will be determined based on factors such as your experience, skill set, interview performance, level alignment, and location.
