Job Title: IT Project Manager II
Work Location: Hybrid in NYC 3 days per week
Terms: Long-term Contract


Overview:
The IT Project Manager II is responsible for leading multiple technology initiatives from initial planning through execution and delivery. This role partners closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure projects align with organizational objectives, are delivered on time, and meet quality, security, and budget expectations. The position requires regular in-office presence several days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of multiple IT projects, from scope definition and planning through implementation and closeout.

  • Develop and execute technology strategies that support broader business goals and operational efficiency.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, priorities, and project dependencies.

  • Conduct reviews and audits of implemented systems to confirm expected outcomes and performance.

  • Establish and support disaster recovery, backup processes, and information security controls.

  • Evaluate technology trends, identify risks or gaps, and recommend improvements to systems, processes, and policies.

  • Manage financial aspects of projects, including forecasting, budgeting, tracking expenditures, and addressing variances.

  • Define, implement, and enforce standards to maintain consistent quality across IT initiatives.

  • Stay current with industry best practices, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve project delivery.

  • Support broader team objectives and contribute to related initiatives as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5–9 years of experience in the information technology field, including hands-on project management experience.

  • Background working with technical teams and engaging directly with internal or external stakeholders.

  • PMP certification preferred.

  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and risk management.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
