Job Title: IT Project Manager (Regulatory / Global Markets)
Work Location: 3 days hybrid, Midtown NYC
Terms: 6 month contract w/ likely extensions / conversion

We are seeking an experienced Technology Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives supporting regulatory and strategic change across Global Markets platforms.This role plays a critical part in driving the delivery of high-visibility programs that impact trading, risk, and compliance operations. Working at the intersection of business and technology, this individual will partner closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and engineering teams to ensure the successful delivery of regulatory and market-driven initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in financial services technology, capital markets, and regulatory program delivery, along with a proven ability to manage complex projects in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives supporting regulatory and Global Markets programs, managing projects from initial definition through successful production deployment.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and analysts to define project scope, gather requirements, and establish clear objectives and success criteria.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and resource allocation while ensuring alignment with Agile delivery practices and change management standards.
  • Oversee project governance, including risk management, issue resolution, and escalation processes to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Manage project budgets and monitor financial performance throughout the lifecycle of each initiative.
  • Provide clear and consistent communication to stakeholders, including project status updates, risk assessments, and key milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies across business, technology, and operational groups to ensure timely delivery.
  • Support release planning and production readiness, including coordination of testing activities and transition to operational support teams.
  • Drive project closure activities including final approvals, documentation of lessons learned, and archiving of project deliverables.

Qualifications
  • 5–9 years of experience managing technology initiatives within financial services, banking, or capital markets environments.
  • Experience delivering regulatory or compliance-driven technology projects within trading or Global Markets organizations.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience collaborating with business analysts and engineering teams.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including tools such as Jira and Scrum frameworks. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate across complex stakeholder environments.
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
