Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and administration of enterprise network security infrastructure, including DNS, load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, proxy solutions, remote access platforms, and DMZ connectivity.
- Drive technology initiatives that enhance cybersecurity posture and improve network performance in alignment with organizational and regulatory objectives.
- Continuously monitor network and security systems, develop performance dashboards, and respond promptly to incidents or vulnerabilities to ensure operational stability.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including asset inventories, architecture diagrams, procedures, and vendor coordination records to support audit readiness and operational efficiency.
- Partner with infrastructure, IT security, risk, and audit teams to provide required documentation, support assessments, and implement remediation plans as necessary.
- Manage first-line security controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and risk management frameworks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, oversee patch management processes, and report on security metrics and trends to senior leadership.
- Mentor and support junior engineers to promote technical development and strengthen team capabilities.
- Collaborate with regional and global security teams to ensure alignment on security strategies, standards, and best practices.
- Provide clear project updates and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- Advanced expertise in networking technologies including Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols, VXLAN, BGP, LAN, WAN, and VPN.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, load balancing, proxies, and authentication systems.
- Deep understanding of DNS, DHCP, web security gateways, and proxy configuration scripting.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues independently.
- Experience with OSI Layer 4 and Layer 7 protocol analysis.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and Network Access Control design principles.
- Experience with enterprise network design, configuration, and automation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter capable of working independently while providing clear status reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with network automation tools.
- Familiarity with micro-segmentation technologies.
- Professional certifications in network security or cybersecurity.
- Strong project management and leadership experience.
- Experience within highly regulated industries, preferably financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field required
