This is a high-impact opportunity to play a central role in the full lifecycle of complex commercial real estate transactions—from initial underwriting and structuring through capital markets execution and closing. You will partner closely with senior originators, investors, and cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities, manage client relationships, and deliver well-structured, institutional-quality deals.

If you are looking for a role that blends analytical rigor, client exposure, transaction ownership, and platform influence, this position offers meaningful visibility and responsibility across origination, execution, and portfolio management.

Role Overview:

You will support senior bankers and originators in sourcing, evaluating, structuring, underwriting, and executing commercial real estate transactions, while also contributing to capital markets activities, portfolio oversight, and platform enhancement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze new loan opportunities and prepare detailed underwriting models and credit recommendations based on submission materials and market data.
  • Manage transactions from signed term sheet through closing, coordinating due diligence efforts with clients, brokers, third-party consultants, underwriting support vendors, and internal teams including credit, pricing, legal, compliance, and KYC.
  • Oversee third-party diligence providers to ensure timely, accurate deliverables and resolution of outstanding questions.
  • Prepare asset summary reports, portfolio analytics, and materials used for internal approvals, syndication, or securitization.
  • Partner with capital markets and distribution teams to support syndication or securitization processes, including responding to investor and rating agency inquiries and assisting in the development of marketing materials.
  • Maintain accurate deal data within internal databases and workflow management systems.
  • Maintain day-to-day communication with borrowers, sponsors, and intermediaries to provide feedback, manage expectations, and strengthen relationships.
  • Assist in managing the deal pipeline, reviewing and analyzing new loan requests, and presenting structured deal views to senior leadership.
  • Support asset management and capital markets teams with portfolio-related diligence inquiries, including those from B-piece buyers, rating agencies, and syndication partners.
  • Contribute to process improvements, workflow enhancements, and special projects that strengthen operational efficiency and scalability across the lending platform.
  • Ensure all transactions are executed in full alignment with internal credit, underwriting, lending, and business procedures.

Role Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of experience within a commercial real estate lending platform (bank or non-bank).
  • Strong foundation in CRE underwriting, valuation, loan structuring, and closing processes.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills with expert Excel proficiency; familiarity with Argus and Rockport preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in real estate, finance, or related field preferred.
