A leading B2B fintech platform is looking for a visionary VP of Engineering to spearhead its technology strategy and execution. This is an exciting opportunity to lead engineering in a high-growth, fast-paced environment that blends the agility of a startup with the scale and responsibility of a financial institution. You'll guide the development of platforms that support a wide array of investment products including equities, ETFs, mutual funds, fixed income, and more.
What You’ll Do
  • Design and evolve architectural foundations, internal tooling, and shared libraries to accelerate development and improve platform performance.
  • Guide and develop cross-functional engineering teams, cultivating a high-performance environment grounded in innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders across product and operations to deliver on high-impact strategic priorities.
  • Lead the development of resilient, secure, and scalable systems, leveraging modern paradigms such as microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
  • Promote a culture of engineering excellence through best-in-class practices in CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and agile delivery.
  • Oversee engineering resource planning, budgeting, and organizational growth to support a rapidly scaling technology landscape.
  • Shape and drive the execution of a forward-looking technology strategy that aligns with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies that improve system stability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
  • 15+ years of engineering experience, including leadership roles managing large, diverse technical teams.
  • Proven success in designing and executing complex technology strategies at scale.
  • Expertise in building high-performance, cloud-native systems (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with deep experience in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong background in microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory and operational complexities of the financial services sector, especially brokerage infrastructure.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A forward-thinking mindset with a passion for driving innovation and solving complex technical problems.
We’d Love to See
  • Proven ability to transform legacy platforms into modern, efficient infrastructure within complex fintech or capital markets environments.
  • Deep experience scaling agile methodologies across large, cross-functional teams, with exposure to enterprise frameworks like SAFe.
  • Solid grasp of core brokerage functions, including post-trade processes such as clearing, settlement, and compliance workflows.
  • Expertise in designing and scaling distributed systems, with a strong command of modern architectural approaches and system design principles.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary Range: $280,000 – $325,000 USD (based on experience and qualifications)
