Work Location: 3 days onsite | Midtown, NYC
Terms: Long-term Contract

Overview
This is an opportunity to play a key role in a large-scale transformation within global markets operations. You’ll lead the IT delivery of a new back-office platform, working across operations, compliance, and technology teams to drive a high-impact implementation targeted for late 2026. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys complex, cross-functional initiatives and wants to be at the center of a global program with real visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of an IT workstream supporting the implementation of a new back-office platform for global markets operations, ensuring alignment with overall program timelines and objectives
  • Own and maintain the IT project plan, including tracking change requests, managing dependencies, and ensuring synchronization with broader program plans
  • Partner cross-functionally with business analysts, developers, operations, and compliance stakeholders to drive execution and resolve issues
  • Establish and enforce governance frameworks, including decision-making processes, escalation paths, and adherence to regulatory and internal standards
  • Develop and manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful delivery
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring transparency across all phases of the project
  • Oversee testing, deployment, and production readiness activities, ensuring a smooth rollout and transition to operations
  • Track and manage risks, issues, and post-release defects, driving timely resolution
  • Lead project closure activities, including obtaining sign-off, documenting lessons learned, and archiving project artifacts

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5–9 years of experience in IT project management within financial services or banking
  • Strong understanding of operational or regulatory technology initiatives
  • Experience working across business analysis, development, and delivery teams
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and/or PMP framework
  • Proficiency with project tracking tools such as Jira

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
