Description

Head of Enterprise Business Development (Digital Platforms) – North America
? Austin, TX (hybrid)

Build the future of global money movement

Imagine helping to create a financial network that makes moving money across borders as seamless as sending a text. That’s the mission here—and this role sits right at the center of it.

We’re looking for a commercially sharp, high-impact leader to take ownership of a fast-growing Digital Platforms vertical across North America. This is a rare opportunity to own a P&L, shape go-to-market strategy, and build a team from the ground up—all while closing some of the most strategic enterprise deals in fintech.

If you’ve mastered enterprise sales and are ready to scale both revenue and people, this is where things get interesting.

What you’ll be doing

This is a true player-coach role—you’ll lead from the front while building a high-performing team around you.

Own and scale a high-growth vertical

  • Define and execute the North American go-to-market strategy for Digital Platforms (spend management, workforce platforms, marketplaces, e-commerce)
  • Identify and win the next wave of category-defining enterprise partners
  • Spot emerging fintech trends and pivot strategy to stay ahead of the market

Drive complex, high-value enterprise deals

  • Lead 6–12 month sales cycles with enterprise clients (>$500k ARR)
  • Build relationships with C-suite stakeholders and navigate complex buying groups
  • Translate business pain into tailored, high-impact solutions
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, legal, compliance, and engineering to land and expand deals

Build and lead a world-class team

  • Hire, develop, and lead a team of senior business development professionals
  • Instill strong pipeline discipline, forecasting accuracy, and execution rigor
  • Coach from the front—joining key deals, shaping strategy, and elevating performance
  • Partner with marketing to maximize ROI from events and outbound campaigns

Act as the voice of the market

  • Feed customer insights back into product and engineering teams
  • Help shape the roadmap to ensure strong product-market fit in North America

What you bring

  • Proven experience leading and scaling enterprise sales teams
  • Strong background in payments, fintech, or embedded finance
  • Track record of closing complex enterprise deals ($500k+ ARR) with long sales cycles
  • Deep understanding of North American financial services and digital platforms
  • Exceptional commercial judgment, forecasting discipline, and pipeline management
  • Ability to operate strategically and get into the weeds when it matters
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally across product, legal, and technical teams

Why this role stands out

  • Own the number – full P&L responsibility for a key vertical
  • Build from zero to one (and beyond) – shape the team, strategy, and market approach
  • Enterprise impact – work on high-value, high-visibility deals with major platforms
  • Global exposure – collaborate with international teams and influence product direction
  • Real autonomy – high trust, high expectations, and room to make your mark

This isn’t a “maintain the status quo” kind of role. It’s for someone who wants to build, win, and lead from the front—and leave a visible mark on a rapidly evolving industry.

If that sounds like your kind of challenge, it’s worth a conversation.
