We’re working with a pre-seed company building AI-driven infrastructure for private markets, focused on bringing structure and intelligence to a highly relationship-driven industry.

They’re hiring a Head of Engineering as their first senior technical hire to own the platform and build the engineering function from the ground up.

This is a true 0 ? 1 role with full ownership across architecture, product, and team.

The role

  • Own and scale the core platform and technical architecture
  • Build and lead the engineering team from the ground up
  • Design systems across data, APIs, and intelligence layers
  • Develop AI/ML-driven features and agent-style workflows
  • Work directly with founders to turn product vision into reality

What you’ll bring
  • Strong full-stack or backend engineering background
  • Experience building and scaling complex platforms
  • Exposure to AI/ML systems or data-heavy products
  • Ability to operate as both hands-on engineer and leader
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and moving quickly

Nice to have
  • Experience with graph, vector, or large-scale data systems
  • Familiarity with modern AI tooling or agentic workflows
  • Background in fintech, marketplaces, or network-driven products
