Senior Backend Engineer
Seed |  AI/Infra | Hybrid in NYC

We’re working with a seed-stage company building infrastructure for high-security, high-stakes environments.

They’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design and scale core systems that power complex enterprise integrations and data workflows.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to shape architecture early and work on technically challenging problems.

The role
  • Build and scale core backend services and APIs
  • Design systems for high-performance data processing and integrations
  • Contribute to multi-tenant architecture with strict data isolation
  • Collaborate across infra, AI, and product teams
  • Set engineering standards and influence architecture decisions

What you’ll bring
  • 5+ years backend engineering experience
  • Strong system design and architecture skills
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java
  • Experience with APIs, distributed systems, and data modeling
  • Comfortable working in high-ownership, early-stage environments

Nice to have
  • Experience with enterprise integrations (ERPs, SaaS platforms, etc.)
  • Exposure to high-security or regulated environments
  • Familiarity with zero-trust architectures
