Description
IT Business Analyst – Credit Markets Technology
Join a front office technology team driving the modernization of credit markets platforms within a global trading environment. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of business, data, and technology while helping enhance critical systems supporting fixed income and credit trading operations.
You’ll partner closely with trading, operations, and technology teams to improve workflows, automate processes, optimize reporting capabilities, and support strategic technology initiatives across the credit markets ecosystem. This is an ideal opportunity for a Business Analyst who enjoys solving complex business problems, working with large data sets, and contributing to high-impact transformation projects in capital markets.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements
- Support modernization initiatives across credit markets platforms and trading workflows
- Analyze structured and unstructured data sources to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Develop reports, dashboards, and business insights to support management reporting and strategic decision-making
- Assist with workflow automation initiatives, including reconciliation processes and deal management tools
- Create detailed functional specifications, process flows, and use cases for development teams
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and technology enhancements across trading and operational workflows
- Facilitate communication between business users, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
- Participate in testing, validation, and implementation of new platform features and enhancements
- Provide ongoing production support and assist users with troubleshooting, training, and system-related inquiries
Requirements
- 5–9 years of Business Analyst experience within financial services or capital markets environments
- Strong understanding of fixed income products and credit market operations
- Experience supporting front office or trading-related technology initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Experience with reporting, workflow automation, and business intelligence tools
- Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project delivery practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex business concepts into technical requirements
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Computer Science, or a related field
