This role is a great entry point into high-impact financial technology, where you’ll work on real-world systems that support trading, risk, and market operations at scale. You’ll gain hands-on experience building and supporting applications used by front-office and risk teams, while learning modern DevOps practices, AI-enabled tooling, and agile delivery in a fast-paced environment.
If you’re excited by automation, data-driven decision-making, and the opportunity to grow your technical skills alongside experienced engineers, this position offers meaningful exposure, mentorship, and the chance to make a visible contribution from day one.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior IT / DevOps Developer to join a global pre-trade technology environment supporting multiple asset classes, including rates, foreign exchange, equities, and credit. The team is responsible for delivering reliable, time-sensitive solutions across the full application lifecycle—from requirements gathering to development, deployment, and ongoing support—within an agile framework.
You will work closely with senior developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to help design and deliver solutions that improve operational efficiency, enhance reporting, and strengthen data analytics capabilities. The role also provides exposure to AI and generative AI technologies applied to financial use cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of applications supporting market and risk operations
- Contribute to AI-enabled and data-driven tools, particularly focused on automation, reporting, and analytics
- Maintain and enhance existing systems by diagnosing issues and implementing fixes
- Provide day-to-day technical support for users, ensuring system reliability and responsiveness
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI and generative AI trends relevant to financial systems
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#
- Exposure to AI or generative AI concepts (experience with frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus)
- Basic understanding of databases and data manipulation; SQL experience preferred
- Awareness of analytical tools or frameworks commonly used in financial or data-driven applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities
Why This Role Matters
This position offers hands-on exposure to production systems, real business users, and modern technologies at the intersection of finance, DevOps, and AI. It’s an ideal opportunity for early-career engineers who want to build practical skills, understand how technology supports financial markets, and grow within a collaborative, globally connected team.
