Director of Finance | PE-Backed Software Business | DACH Region

twentyAI are supporting a Private Equity-backed international software company entering its next phase of growth and operational maturity. The business has a strong recurring revenue model and is now focused on centralisation, governance and scalable reporting as it continues to expand across Europe.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role where you will build and professionalise the group finance function across multiple international entities and act as a key partner to management and investors.

The role

  • Design and implement a group-wide finance function aligned to investor-grade standards
  • Lead and develop finance teams across Germany and internationally, including oversight of outsourced providers
  • Own group accounting, consolidation, monthly close and management reporting
  • Ensure statutory reporting, tax, payroll, compliance and audit readiness
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis to support decision-making
  • Manage treasury, cash flow forecasting and banking relationships
  • Support acquisitions and integrations, including acquisition accounting and reporting alignment
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and shareholders

Background sought

  • Qualified accountant (or equivalent)
  • Senior finance leadership experience in a software / SaaS / recurring revenue environment
  • Exposure to Private Equity or investor-led organisations
  • Strong group accounting and consolidation experience
  • Track record building and scaling finance teams and processes
  • M&A integration and investor reporting exposure
  • Fluent German and comfortable operating across the DACH region
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach
