twentyAI is supporting a global, market-leading crypto and digital assets platform in the appointment of a Tax Manager to join its growing Finance function.

The Finance team provides critical insight and decision support to senior leadership, enabling effective strategic planning, performance management, and scalable growth. The function spans Finance Operations, Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Revenue Operations, and Procurement, supporting the business across day-to-day operations, commercial activity, regulatory compliance, and long-term value creation.

As the business continues to scale internationally, Finance plays a central role in building a best-in-class financial architecture that supports innovation, regulatory confidence, and sustainable shareholder value.


Team Overview – Tax

The Tax team is a core pillar of the global Finance function, responsible for overseeing worldwide tax affairs across multiple jurisdictions in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.

The team provides technical tax leadership, implements tax-efficient structures, and partners closely with stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams. It plays a critical role in supporting international expansion, product development, and operational transformation, while ensuring robust governance and long-term financial resilience.


Role Overview

The Tax Manager will support the Head of Tax across all tax matters globally. This is a broad, hands-on role combining technical delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and project work across multiple jurisdictions within a fast-moving fintech / digital assets environment.

This role is well suited to a Manager or experienced Senior Associate from practice or industry looking to step into a high-impact, international position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee global corporate and indirect tax (VAT/GST) compliance across the US, EMEA, and APAC, working with external advisors

  • Support the preparation and review of R&D tax claims

  • Ensure compliance with OECD Transfer Pricing requirements, including implementation and maintenance of group transfer pricing policies

  • Manage tax considerations related to strategic initiatives, including international expansion and new product launches

  • Oversee tax implications of employee share schemes and equity-based compensation

  • Provide tax support for the analysis and implementation of global reporting frameworks, including Crypto Asset Reporting Framework (CARF) and CRS

  • Advise on international tax matters, including permanent establishment and withholding tax risk

  • Monitor global tax and regulatory developments, proactively assessing business impact

  • Prepare and maintain robust tax policies, documentation, and governance frameworks

  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Engineering, Product, and Commercial teams on tax-related matters


Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Qualified tax professional (CTA, ACCA, or equivalent)

  • Experience gained in practice and/or in-house

  • Strong technical grounding across UK and international tax, including transfer pricing and global reporting standards

  • Commercial, pragmatic, and risk-aware mindset with the ability to translate technical tax issues into practical business advice

  • Self-starter with a hands-on approach and strong ownership mentality

Desirable

  • Background in Big 4 and/or in-house within fintech, financial services, or digital assets

  • Indirect tax experience
