Senior Software Engineer, Java
Champaign, IL | Onsite

We’re working with a newly formed engineering team backed by a major consulting group and a global investment firm, building systems that sit at the core of financial markets infrastructure.

They’re hiring a Calypso Developer to work directly with business users and deliver high-impact solutions across trading and portfolio systems.

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working closely with users, and owning delivery end-to-end.

The role

Build and deliver solutions across trading and portfolio systems
Work directly with end users to identify improvements and enhancements
Own features end-to-end, from requirements through to production
Balance development with production support and user interaction
Collaborate across teams to improve systems and processes

What you’ll bring

Strong Java experience (modern versions preferred)
Experience working with financial systems or trading platforms
Ability to own projects from requirements to delivery
Strong communication skills, comfortable working with users
Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset

Nice to have

Experience with Calypso or similar systems (Murex, Orchestrade, etc.)
Exposure to front or middle office environments
Understanding of financial instruments (rates, FX, equities, etc.)
