Senior Data Engineer
Champaign, IL | Onsite

We’re working with a newly formed engineering team backed by a major consulting group and a global investment firm, building data platforms that power high-impact analytics and decision-making.

They’re hiring a Data Engineer to design and scale data systems used across complex, real-world business problems.

This is a role for someone who enjoys working with large datasets, building reliable pipelines, and having direct impact on how data is used.


The role
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms
  • Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and availability
  • Work closely with data scientists and stakeholders
  • Continuously improve systems and adopt new technologies

What you’ll bring
  • 3–6 years experience in data engineering or similar
  • Strong Python and SQL skills
  • Experience building data pipelines and handling large datasets
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset

Nice to have
  • Experience with Spark, Databricks, or distributed systems
  • Familiarity with Airflow or orchestration tools
  • Experience in financial services, consulting, or analytics-heavy environments
