We’re working with a Series A healthtech company building systems that directly impact patient care and clinical outcomes.
They’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design and scale the core infrastructure powering their platform.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who enjoys building robust systems and working closely with product and domain experts.
The role
- Design and build scalable backend systems and services
- Own features end-to-end, from spec through to production
- Work closely with product and domain experts to solve real-world problems
- Balance speed and quality in a fast-moving environment
- Contribute to architecture and technical direction
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years building production backend systems
- Strong fundamentals in system design and software engineering
- Experience with at least one backend language (Ruby, Python, PHP, or similar)
- Ability to work independently and own delivery
- Collaborative mindset, comfortable working cross-functionally
Nice to have
- Experience in healthtech or early-stage startups
- Familiarity with GraphQL, AWS, or real-time/data systems
- Experience shipping products at scale
