Senior Backend Engineer

We’re working with a Series A fintech company building the infrastructure that powers billing, payments, and revenue operations for modern B2B businesses.

They’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design and scale the core systems that sit at the heart of their product.

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys working on revenue-critical systems where accuracy and reliability really matter.

The role
  • Build and scale backend systems that process high-volume transactional data
  • Design event-driven architectures and streaming pipelines
  • Own infrastructure where correctness and uptime are critical
  • Make architectural decisions around performance, cost, and scalability
  • Work closely with product and customers to solve real problems

What you’ll bring
  • Experience building and scaling backend systems in production
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture
  • Experience with data systems, pipelines, or high-throughput environments
  • Comfortable owning infrastructure and making tradeoffs at scale
  • Strong backend fundamentals in a typed language or similar

Nice to have
  • Experience with streaming systems or pub/sub architectures
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and infra-as-code
  • Experience working in early-stage or high-growth environments
