Tech Lead, AI Agents (Mandarin Speaker)
Series A GenAI Startup | Remote, PST preferred

We’re working with an early-stage AI company building agent-driven systems that turn natural language into fully functioning products.

They’re hiring a Senior AI Agent Engineer / Tech Lead to own the core agent architecture and push the quality and reliability of generation systems.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who has actually built and shipped agentic systems, not just experimented with LLMs.

The role
  • Own the agent runtime and orchestration layer end-to-end
  • Build long-horizon agent workflows (plan ? generate ? execute ? evaluate ? iterate)
  • Develop evaluation systems, testing loops, and reliability frameworks
  • Improve model performance, routing, and cost/latency trade-offs
  • Build observable, debuggable systems with strong tooling and metrics

What you’ll bring
  • Experience building production-grade AI agent systems (tool use, orchestration, retry loops)
  • Strong engineering skills in Python or TypeScript
  • Experience with modern agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, etc.)
  • Track record shipping and scaling real systems
  • Strong product instincts, able to translate UX into system design

Nice to have
  • Experience building coding agents, devtools, or code generation systems
  • Familiarity with eval frameworks and LLM testing pipelines
  • Experience designing tool interfaces or MCP-style systems
  • Mandarin speaker
