Qlik Sense Developer
Work Location: NYC, Midtown, 3 days per week
Terms: Long-term Contract

Join a purpose-driven analytics team focused on transforming data into meaningful insights that support social impact initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with business stakeholders, shaping how data is leveraged to measure performance, improve outcomes, and drive smarter decision-making. You’ll play a key role in building intuitive, high-impact dashboards and enabling scalable, self-service analytics across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define key metrics for reporting and analytics
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and applications using Qlik Sense
  • Build and optimize data models to support scalable, high-performance analytics solutions
  • Write and enhance SQL queries to extract, transform, and prepare data for reporting
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across dashboards and reporting outputs
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights through effective visualization techniques
  • Document dashboards, data models, and best practices to support ongoing use and self-service capabilities
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve data workflows
  • Work with structured data from a variety of internal and external sources

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience developing dashboards and applications using Qlik Sense
  • Strong SQL skills with experience working with relational databases
  • Solid understanding of business intelligence concepts and data visualization best practices
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling, including star schema and data relationships
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into effective reporting and analytics solutions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience collaborating closely with business users to deliver data-driven insights
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with philanthropy, ESG, or nonprofit-related data
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
  • Experience integrating data from multiple sources
  • Exposure to additional BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
