The Opportunity

We're working with a growing UK challenger bank that is investing significantly in its Finance and Regulatory Transformation capabilities.

With an approved transformation programme underway, the business is looking for a hands-on Finance & Regulatory Change Manager to help deliver improvements across financial control, regulatory reporting, capital requirements and data infrastructure.

The programme covers the wider Group and its subsidiaries, with an upcoming US subsidiary launch adding further complexity to the change landscape.

This is an opportunity to join a lean, growing organisation where you'll have genuine ownership and the ability to shape how things are done, rather than simply following established processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver Finance and Regulatory Change initiatives across the Group.

  • Work with Finance, Financial Control, Regulatory Reporting, Lending and Treasury stakeholders to gather and challenge requirements.

  • Review functional specification documents (FSDs), test plans and business requirements.

  • Support the full change lifecycle from requirements gathering through to testing, deployment and BAU handover.

  • Support data transformation initiatives relating to regulatory capital, lending products and treasury.

  • Identify risks, dependencies and potential disruption to BAU Finance operations.

  • Drive improvements across existing financial systems

  • Support change requirements associated with the upcoming US subsidiary launch.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience delivering Finance Change, Regulatory Change or Finance Data Transformation within banking or financial services.

  • Good understanding of financial control, regulatory reporting or capital requirements.

  • Experience working with functional specifications, testing and implementation.

  • Exposure to lending, treasury or structured finance products would be advantageous.

  • Ideally experience within a challenger bank, specialist lender or smaller financial institution.

  • Someone proactive, commercially minded and comfortable working with ambiguity.

  • Ability to take ownership and drive delivery without relying on established processes.

You do not need to be a fully qualified accountant. Relevant Finance, Regulatory or Change experience is more important.

This would suit someone who enjoys building and improving processes, wants broader exposure and is comfortable operating in a fast-moving, growing business.
