Description

twentyAI have partnered with a fast-growing, global fintech on a search for an Interim MLRO.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, where you will have real ownership, the autonomy to make decisions and the chance to shape how financial crime risk is managed in practice.

Initial 4-month contract, Inside IR35 and immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Critically assess existing financial crime controls and challenge established processes
  • Review and redefine transaction monitoring rules, ensuring scenarios are risk-based, commercially practical and effective
  • Determine what will work in practice for specific products, customer types and risk scenarios
  • Take ownership and make sound decisions with limited oversight
  • Build credibility with senior stakeholders while maintaining independence and meeting regulatory standards

Requirements:

  • Proven second-line financial crime experience, with the willingness to get involved in day-to-day operations
  • Hands-on experience reviewing and redesigning transaction monitoring rules and scenarios
  • Strong judgement and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic, risk-based approach
  • Comfort in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to hold your ground when needed
