The Opportunity

We're partnering with a growing UK challenger bank looking to hire a Finance Operations Analyst into its expanding Finance function.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone relatively early in their Finance career who wants to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations, gain exposure to a growing banking business and help improve processes as the team develops.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance Operations, you'll be responsible for payments, accounts payable, expenses and general transactional finance activities, allowing the wider team to focus on financial control and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounts payable, expenses and payment processing.

  • Process lending-related payments, broker fees and other financial transactions.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure payments are processed efficiently.

  • Support reconciliations and financial controls.

  • Take ownership of routine financial processing, reducing the administrative burden on the wider Finance team.

  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline existing processes.

  • Support the Finance Operations team as the business continues to grow.

What We're Looking For

  • Approximately 1–2 years' experience in Finance Operations, Accounts Payable, transactional finance or a similar role.

  • Good understanding of payments, expenses and basic accounting processes.

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Comfortable using financial systems and Excel.

  • Someone proactive, reliable and happy to take ownership of their responsibilities.

  • Experience within banking, lending or financial services would be advantageous but is not essential.

  • Experience with Access Financials or Xero would be beneficial.

You do not need to be a fully qualified accountant. This is a junior, operationally focused role where attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn are more important than formal qualifications.
