This is a junior–mid level role within Middle Office Operations focused on insurance support for commercial lending activities. The Middle Office Analyst for Insurance Operations is responsible for the end-to-end administration of credit insurance associated with financed transactions. The role partners closely with front-office business lines, operations teams, and external insurance brokers to ensure accurate calculation, booking, monitoring, and payment of insurance premiums. The position requires strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and a proactive approach to managing operational risk.
This position requires working onsite three days per week.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject-matter resource for credit insurance activities across the full lifecycle, from initial review through ongoing monitoring
  • Calculate insurance premiums based on credit agreements and insurance documentation, and ensure timely payments to brokers
  • Book, track, and reconcile insurance-related transactions within loan servicing and middle-office systems, ensuring accuracy and data integrity
  • Review policy documents and related legal agreements to identify insurance requirements and ensure processes and bookings align with those terms
  • Perform pre-funding verification of insurance calculations and facilitate initial deposits or premium payments to brokers
  • Act as a primary point of contact for insurance-related inquiries from front office, middle office, and external brokers
  • Monitor insurance-related covenants and reporting obligations, escalating discrepancies or concerns to management as needed
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes related to booking, reconciliation, reporting, and overall insurance administration
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of experience in commercial lending, asset finance, or loan operations at a financial institution
  • Experience managing insurance requirements within structured or commercial lending transactions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Familiarity with loan servicing or middle-office platforms (experience with specific industry systems is a plus)
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read financial statements and calculate/interpret key financial ratios
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
