Description

twentyAI are supporting a PE-backed global financial services firm on a search for a VAT Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end VAT compliance across the UK and Ireland, while also gaining exposure to a range of broader VAT advisory projects and business-critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end VAT compliance processes across UK and Irish entities, including preparation, review and submission of VAT returns within statutory deadlines
  • Own and apply Partial Exemption Special Method (PESM) calculations and wider partial exemption methodology accurately and consistently
  • Engage with Accounts Payable and billing teams to ensure VAT is correctly applied, coded and captured at source
  • Identify and drive process improvements across VAT compliance workflows, reducing manual effort and error risk
  • Support VAT-related training for finance and business stakeholders to improve wider VAT awareness and data quality

What We're Looking For

  • Strong, demonstrable VAT compliance experience
  • Financial services experience essential
  • Hands-on experience with PESM and partial exemption calculations
  • Organised, proactive and able to take ownership of processes independently
  • Comfortable engaging cross-functionally
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions is beneficial
