Senior IT Project Manager – Capital Markets Technology

Join a high-impact global markets technology initiative supporting front-to-back operations within Debt Capital Markets. This is an opportunity to step into a visible, business-critical program where you’ll work closely with trading, syndicate, onboarding, and technology teams to drive delivery across a complex financial systems environment.

This role is ideal for a seasoned IT Project Manager who thrives in fast-paced capital markets environments and enjoys coordinating cross-functional teams through large-scale transformation and delivery efforts. You’ll play a key role in managing ongoing development, testing, delivery planning, stakeholder communication, and production readiness for a multi-year strategic initiative.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and coordinate IT project activities across business analysis, development, testing, and implementation phases
  • Manage the remaining project lifecycle from active delivery through rollout and production handoff
  • Partner with business stakeholders including front office, sales, trading, syndication, and onboarding teams
  • Coordinate across multiple technology teams supporting pre-trade, booking, post-trade, and client systems
  • Own project planning, execution tracking, dependency management, and change control processes
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination for new requirements and evaluate impact to timelines and deliverables
  • Drive testing coordination across teams while monitoring defects, issue resolution, and release readiness
  • Maintain project reporting, status updates, documentation, and governance artifacts
  • Track budget considerations related to technology resources in partnership with IT leadership
  • Ensure successful production rollout, operational handoff, and project closure activities including lessons learned documentation

What They’re Looking For

  • 5–9 years of experience in IT Project Management within financial services or banking environments
  • Strong understanding of capital markets technology and front-to-back trade lifecycle processes
  • Experience working alongside development, QA, and business analysis teams on enterprise technology initiatives
  • Agile, Scrum, or PMP project management experience
  • Strong experience using Jira and Agile delivery methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and dependencies across technical and business teams
  • Excellent communication, organization, and execution skills

Preferred Background

  • Experience supporting Debt Capital Markets, regulatory, or transactional financial systems
  • Prior experience within trading, front-office, or investment banking technology environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
