twentyAI is working with a world-leading quoted private assets growth investor and their newly created Management Reporting team needs an individual to manage the monthly financial close process and produce internal financial reporting for the Group stakeholders and committees. 

Key responsibilities:
  • Support with planning and manage the Group monthly financial close process across finance operations and global offices including: timetabling, coordination of submission packs, key balance sheet reconciliations and the delivery of monthly Flash results for the Group
  • Perform monthly analytical reviews of the Group’s performance vs Budget, Forecasts & prior financial periods with the input and support of other finance areas.
  • Perform financial close activities for Central head office costs and substantiate key balance sheet accounts 
  • Prepare the quarterly financial reporting & analysis for the Group Board and Exco for presentation to Business unit heads
  • Support in various additional activities, such as ad hoc analysis project work, system enhancement as well as taking on further areas as the Group expands
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes within reporting, controls and also across finance operations and systems
Background:
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) with post qualified experience
  • Management reporting month end close cycle experience is essential
  • Be able to work independently and demonstrate problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working on multi-currency ledgers and in a matrix environment (cost centres, profit centres, allocations & legal entities) 
  • Well established excel skills, being able to summarise large data sets in a thoughtful manner to allow senior management to form easy conclusions & summaries (Pivots, Lookups, short cuts to data cleanse, charts, graphs & waterfalls)
  • Established PowerPoint skills 
  • Good accounting knowledge, although this is not a technical accounting role
