We are currently partnered with a European energy giant that are looking to expand their global operations, they have a prominent position in the petroleum market and are looking to expand their operations and modernise their technology estate. To this end, they are currently searching for a Senior .Net Developer to be an integral part of this global drive.

A globally distributed commodities firm, they have a major presence in Europe and across the EMEA region. As a fully integrated energy firm they provide strategic importance to their markets and expertise in areas from infrastructure, supply, and trading. Due to heightened demand for their products, they modernising their their technology stack whilst increasing the provision of their core services. 

Summary of role

You will be an established Senior .Net Developer, operating primarily as a Backend or Full Stack Developer. As a Senior Developer you will be working alongside key business stakeholders in the U.K and Europe to develop their revenue driving business areas, and develop additional functionality to existing platforms. You will be an expert in Oil, Petroleum, or other fuel based commodities, with experience facing off to business users to collect requirements and develop technical solutions. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and modernise their trading and supply chain solutions into a modern design architecture.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business critical information, and contribute to a technical roadmap.
  • Work closely with a globally distributed team to build solutions for the global business.
  • Work with ETRM trading models and face off to Traders, Middle, and Back office. 

Role Requirements:

  • Understanding of modern software practices and cloud deployment.
  • Experience working with SQL Database, including AzureSQL.
  • Extensive understanding of the trade lifecycle - particularly Oil and Gas.
  • Core Technologies: C#, .Net 6, Azure, OpenLink, React/Angular
