twentyAI are supporting a Scale Up that have just completed a Series A funding round.  They are looking to cale from 50 to 170 people over the next 16 months, they're looking for an organized, detail-oriented Head of Finance to be their first finance hire. This role is foundational: you’ll set up core processes from the ground up, build and lead the finance team, and shape the financial strategy that fuels their growth.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be deep in the weeds, using AI-driven tools to accelerate workflows and insights, while also building toward the strategic leadership required of a CFO.

What You’ll Do

  • Build Finance 0 to 1: Stand up all core processes, including forecasting, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and internal controls.

  • Hire & Lead: Build and manage a lean team, starting with a senior accountant and a finance operations specialist.

  • Be Hands-On: Roll up your sleeves on everything from reconciliations to board decks; nothing is “too small” as we scale.

  • Leverage AI: Deploy and experiment with cutting-edge AI tools to streamline workflows, enhance accuracy, and generate insights.

  • Partner with Leadership: Report directly to the CEO and leadership team to shape growth strategy, track performance, and support fundraising.

  • Scale: Build scalable systems and reporting infrastructure that can support the team as they grow 3x in size.

Board & Investor Reporting: Deliver transparent and compelling reporting packages to current and future investors.

Seniority

  • 4 - 10 years of experience in investment banking/private equity/investing and corporate/strategic finance/corporate development at a tech startup/company
  • 2+ years of experience in M&?A Investment Banking/Private Equity/Investing + 2+ years of experience in Strategic/Corporate Finance or Corporate Development at a notable,? high-?growth tech startup/company
  • Experience building finance processes from 0 to 1 at a high-?growth B2B SaaS/B2C startup
