Director of Frontend Engineering – Media – New York
Over the past few years, our client has been reinventing itself as a true technology company. Operating within the Media space, they have been leading the way in terms of cloud hosting on AWS, diversity in technology and putting the consumer first through design based thought. This change has been spearheaded by a number of well know and highly skilled engineering leaders with exceptional backgrounds. The environment they have fostered is one of openness, humility and collaboration. Furthermore, they actively encourage and promote technologists improvement and in turn, careers.
They are looking for a Director of Engineering to play a key role in this growth - this person will lead, mentor and build engineering teams, as well as being an advocate for the company within the NY tech community. This person will be a seasoned and passionate engineering leader who has built high quality consumer products and highly scalable/ available systems.
Anyone with a substantial Github footprint or Open Source contributions is also of interest.
Some of the technologies they use include, React, JavaScript, Node, Java, Scala, Docker, AWS, Docker, Kafka, Go, Vue - they are constantly evolving and working out ways to better serve their customers with the latest technologies.
