twentyAI are excited to be partnering with a Private equity backed hospitality business who are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their growing Analytics function. You will work closely with the Head of Analytics in solving business problems through Data Science. You will be able to generate valuable insights and actions in order to gain a competitive advantage in a saturated market. The work will be entirely varied and every day you will face new challenges!

The business has embarked on a data driven journey and will need this person to operate as a full stack Data Scientist across multiple business areas.

You'll also help develop a fully automated pricing strategy driven by data and ML. One of the main issues the business is currently facing is understanding and adapting to customer insights and behaviours. This will be an exciting part of your role as you get to fully immerse yourself in this business and industry.

They are constantly exploring new ways to expand the data teams internal offering so you should also be willing to go into the unchartered landscape and be prepared to perform testing on various initiatives within the business. As part of that you will be working with Senior Stakeholders from various divisions to understand their requirements and problems, and then deliver Data Science solutions. This also includes developing the ingestion into the futuristic self-serve platform

 Responsibilities

  • Data transformation: Assessing quality, cleansing, structuring for downstream processing. Includes identifying data sources.
  • Design accurate and scalable prediction algorithms. (time series, prediction modelling and reinforcement learning).
  • Collaborate with various business units to bring analytical prototypes to production.
  • Understand the business problem, generate actionable insights for business improvements.

Qualifications & Characteristics

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of predictive modelling, machine-learning, clustering and classification techniques, and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with Big Data frameworks and visualization tools.
  • A team player who wants to learn and grow.

This role is based in Birmingham, onsite 2-3 days a week on average.
