Description
twentyAI are supporting a scale up Energy Firm who are looking for a Business Analyst. They are looking for someone to support them in analysis and optimisation of business cases — and then communicate their findings effectively with the business to enhance decision making.
What will you do?
Developing and optimizing business cases: including CAPEX, OPEX, revenue forecasts and risk management.
Financial modeling and analysis: Conducting detailed financial analysis to evaluate the profitability, cost structures, and potential returns of battery storage projects.
Market analysis and research: Monitoring trends in the energy storage market, regulations and technological developments in order to identify opportunities and risks in a timely manner.
Risk assessment: Identifying and quantifying technical, financial and legal risks, and establishing risk management strategies.
Project planning and optimization: Coordinating project activities in preparation for FID (final investment decision), and making adjustments where necessary for optimal execution.
Support with due diligence: As part of the deal team, you will support the assessment of project proposals offered. This includes a financial assessment of the business case, supervising external advisors and (helping) supervise all the necessary processes to realize an acquisition.

You have strong analytical skills to analyze complex financial and operational data and translate it into actionable insights for decision-making, you are an Excel cruncher and you have a warm heart for AI analytics.
Financial expertise is necessary, especially in the field of financial modelling for projects in the energy sector. Knowledge of the battery storage market, and/or energy market including technologies, regulations and market trends is of added value for identifying opportunities and risks.
In addition, stakeholder management experience is key to maintaining relationships and managing expectations with both internal teams and external investors and partners. In addition, you have:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in economics, business, finance, renewable energy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in preferably in the battery storage or energy sector.
- Experience with financial analysis, business case development, and risk assessment
- Innovation mind-set in analysis, business models, internationalization.
