Job Title: KYC / Client Tax Analyst II
Work Location: Hybrid in NYC, 3 days per week
Terms: Long-term Contract
Overview:
The KYC / Client Tax Analyst II supports client tax operations by ensuring regulatory withholding and reporting obligations are met accurately and on time. This role involves detailed data analysis, tax documentation review, and coordination with internal teams and external partners. The position also plays an important role in maintaining governance, risk management, and control frameworks across client tax processes. The role requires on-site presence three days per week.
Key Responsibilities:

Execute and support operational controls related to client tax and regulatory compliance.

Oversee tax-related processes, ensuring accurate withholding, reporting, and documentation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including tax, compliance, risk, audit, and technology to ensure consistent and effective execution of client tax practices.

Perform data analysis and reporting to monitor operational health, identify risks, and support control effectiveness.

Support annual tax reporting activities, including preparation and coordination of required filings (e.g., 1099, 1042).

Monitor and remediate withholding issues in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Track and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs), including coordination with third-party or outsourced partners.

Contribute to process improvements, risk mitigation initiatives, and ongoing governance efforts.

Engage with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve issues and ensure operational accuracy.
Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax operations, regulatory operations, controls, or a related area (such as KYC or financial operations).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights.

Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).

Working knowledge of withholding tax concepts and U.S. tax reporting requirements, including forms such as 1099 and 1042, as well as related regulations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex information.

Demonstrated experience in risk management, controls, and governance frameworks.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while collaborating effectively with teams.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience within a financial services or regulated environment.

Familiarity with securities services, custody, or related operational functions.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting tax operations and client onboarding.

Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and drive cross-functional initiatives.

Experience leading or contributing to process optimization and operational improvement efforts.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
