Description
IT Project Manager – Global Markets
Work Location: 3 days onsite in NYC, Midtown
Terms: Long-term Contract
This is a high-impact opportunity to lead a critical technology transformation within a global markets environment. You’ll play a key role in delivering a large-scale back-office system implementation, partnering closely with operations, compliance, and technology teams to drive a complex, business-critical initiative through to go-live.

Job Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain the IT project plan for a major back-office system implementation, ensuring alignment with broader global timelines
- Track and manage change requests, dependencies, and key deliverables across the project lifecycle
- Coordinate closely with business analysts, developers, and global project leadership to ensure seamless execution
- Oversee project governance, including decision-making frameworks, escalation paths, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards
- Manage and track project budget, ensuring transparency and alignment with expectations
- Drive stakeholder communication, including regular status reporting and cross-team coordination
- Support testing phases by coordinating UAT, tracking defects, and ensuring readiness for deployment
- Oversee production rollout and ensure smooth transition to operational teams
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure audit readiness
- Lead project closure activities, including sign-off, lessons learned, and documentation archival
Job Requirements:
- 5–9 years of experience in IT project management within financial services or banking environments
- Strong understanding of project delivery across the full lifecycle, including planning, execution, testing, and deployment
- Experience working on operations or regulatory-focused technology initiatives
- Familiarity with both Agile and traditional project management methodologies (PMP or Agile certification is a plus)
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across business and technology teams
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive alignment across global teams
