Description

Financial Operations (FinOps) Analyst
Remote in Colombia
6-month contract with strong potential for conversion to full-time

A high-growth, US-headquartered fintech is looking to hire a Financial Operations (FinOps) Analyst to support global finance operations. This is a hands-on, junior-to-mid level “jack of all trades” role, sitting across treasury, reporting, tax coordination, and process optimization.
The position will initially be a 6-month contract (full-time) with strong potential to convert into a permanent hire, particularly as the business establishes its Colombian entity and broader LATAM presence.

Role Responsibilities

  • Own daily oversight of ~30 treasury accounts, including cash tracking and reporting
  • Build and maintain cash visibility dashboards (including API integrations where possible)
  • Coordinate with external providers across tax, accounting, and reporting, ensuring delivery against timelines
  • Manage investor reporting across multiple platforms and direct communications
  • Monitor tax filings, payments, and regulatory obligations (via external advisors)
  • Supporting automation of manual finance processes (data extraction, reconciliation, reporting workflows)
  • Document and standardize processes (e.g. via Confluence), driving efficiency improvements
  • Assist with AP/AR, reconciliations, and general finance operations as required

Role Requirements:
  • 2–5 years’ experience in finance / accounting / financial operations
  • Strong understanding of core finance processes (treasury, reconciliations, reporting)
  • Comfortable operating in a broad, unstructured, high-growth environment
  • Exposure to data tools (SQL, Python, APIs, Claude) is a strong advantage
  • ERP experience preferred (e.g. NetSuite), but not essential
  • Self-starter mindset with ability to own and improve processes end-to-end
  • Colombian-based (preferred) to support upcoming local entity setup
Role Positioning
  • Designed as a broad exposure role across all finance verticals (treasury, tax, reporting, operations)
  • Ideal for someone looking to accelerate learning and progression in a dynamic fintech
  • Blend of execution + process improvement + light data/automation focus
  • Will evolve into a core hire supporting LATAM expansion
Logistics
  • Location: Colombia (preferred)
  • Contract: Full-time, 3–6 months initially
  • Conversion: Strong likelihood of permanent role post-contract
  • Reporting into: Finance leadership (working closely with senior stakeholders)
  • Interview process: 2-stage, 30-minute interviews with decision makers
